It's Christmas Eve and snow is gently falling,
The choir is singing in the lamp light's glow.
Children sleeping, wishing, dreaming,
Angels' smiles around them beaming,
There's wonder in the air this Christmas Eve.

Daylight dawns with gifts in wild profusion,
Tinsel, bows and coloured paper too.
But let's recall dear Jesus when,
He lay asleep and three wise men,
Brought gifts to Him on that first Christmas day.

We now remember Jesus Christ at Christmas
This Holy One who sacrificed for all.
We love Him and we honour Him,
Adore Him and we worship Him,
He is the gift, the sweetest gift of all.
