A brilliant star shone down on a stable
Where baby Jesus came to earth
Joseph and Mary in Bethlehem
No room at the inn for them
'Twas the stable where Mary gave birth

Now we remember Jesus at Christmas
With gifts and songs and laughter and glee
Fun in the snowflakes, sliding on ice
And feasting with food so nice
And time spent with dear friends and fam'ly

This special baby grew in wisdom
He told us to be honest and true
To forgive and also forget all wrongs
And fill hearts with joy and songs
This Bethlehem child, was Jesus
